Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments regarding gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or political views.

  • Displaying sexual images in public spaces.

  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.

  • Photography or audio/video recording without reasonable consent.

  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events.

  • Inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

While photography is encouraged, participants must have a reasonable opportunity to opt out. If someone objects to having their photograph taken, please respect their request. Avoid taking photos in areas where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy.

Participants are expected to immediately comply with requests to stop any harassing behavior. It is important to note that any hacks created during the event are also subject to this anti-harassment policy.

If you experience harassment, notice someone else being harassed, or have any concerns, please contact a member of the hackathon staff immediately. Our staff is here to help you and can assist in contacting local security or law enforcement, provide escorts, or ensure that you feel safe throughout the event. Your presence is valued, and we are committed to your comfort and safety.

Any participant engaging in harassing behavior may face appropriate actions from the hackathon organizers. This could include a warning, expulsion from the event, or reporting the behavior to local law enforcement.

We expect all participants to adhere to these guidelines at all hackathon and workshop venues, as well as at any hackathon-related social events. Thank you for helping us create a welcoming environment for everyone!
